Veteran Defender Orel Dagani Signs Two-Year Deal With MS Ashdod
Veteran central defender Orel Dagani has officially signed a two-year contract with MS Ashdod, the club announced on Friday. Dagani joins Ashdod from Hapoel Petah Tikva, where he was a key player in their promotion to the top league last season. The move sees Dagani drop to the second division, known as the National League.
Throughout his career, Dagani has earned 21 caps for the Israeli national team and has made over 400 appearances in the Israeli Premier League for clubs including Maccabi Netanya, Beitar Jerusalem, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Hapoel Haifa. He will wear the number 25 for his new team.
"I am very happy to come to Ashdod and start a new challenge in my career," Dagani stated after signing. "I will contribute my experience so that at the end of the season we will achieve our goal and return the club to the Premier League."
