Bnei Akiva Launches 'Builders' Team' Initiative to Erect Sukkot Booths for IDF Reservists' Families and Elderly

In anticipation of the Sukkot holiday and amidst the ongoing Swords of Iron War, the Bnei Akiva youth movement has relaunched its national 'Builders' Team' initiative with expanded operations. Now in its 13th year, the project honors the memory of fallen IDF soldiers Major Bania Re'in, Major Bania Share'al, and Sergeant Bania Rubel. The initiative provides assistance in building and dismantling Sukkot booths for those in need.

This year, the program is extending its reach beyond its traditional support for the elderly and disabled across Israel. It will offer special aid to numerous families of IDF reservists whose spouses are currently mobilized for service. To ensure accessibility for a wider range of people, Bnei Akiva has also established dedicated contact centers that can handle inquiries in multiple languages, including English, French, and Spanish.

Volunteers, consisting of Bnei Akiva trainees, counselors, and alumni, will visit homes to erect the Sukkot booths and will return after the holiday to dismantle them.
