Meni Assayag Slams Critics of Fallen Soldier's Mother

Publicist Meni Assayag has ignited a firestorm on social media with a scathing critique of activists targeting Talik Guili, the mother of fallen Israeli hero Ran Guili. Assayag fiercely defended Guili against accusations of ingratitude from activists who claimed she was unappreciative of their protests for the release of hostages held by Hamas.

In an emotional post, Assayag accused the anti-government protesters of creating illegal anarchy during a "war for survival." He asserted that their protests were more in support of the kidnappers than the hostages, and that their calls for release "at any price" were aimed at pressuring the Israeli government to capitulate to Hamas murderers. Assayag further alleged that protest leaders exploited the hostage crisis for propaganda, abandoning the cause once hostages were returned, deeming it politically unviable. He questioned the activists' right to demand gratitude from Guili, asking, "What do you have to do with a hero who went out to fight wounded and eliminated 14 terrorists? You still demand thanks from his mother?"

Assayag concluded his remarks by questioning the activists' identity and demanding they leave Israelis alone, stating, "Who the hell are you? Get out of our sight! You are not of Israel."

Assayag, known for his frequent online commentary on public discourse, also heads the "Hayinu Kehumalim" charity, which aids needy families, orphans, the elderly, and lone soldiers by distributing food packages and providing religious items for bar mitzvahs and soldiers.
