Chef Yonatan Roshfeld is reviving Herbert Samuel’s iconic tomato salad at his new kosher restaurants, Mari in Netanya and Pupa in Tel Aviv. Mari’s menu is already structured into sections such as starters, chopped and sliced raw dishes, market salads, fresh fish and Josper grill dishes, with prices ranging from 55 to 238 shekels. Among the highlighted dishes are potato ravioli with Madagascar pepper sauce, an entrecote burger, fish gnocchi with corn sauce, and the return of the tomato salad for 78 shekels. Mari is located at the Vert Lagoon Hotel on Kehilat Tzfat Street in Netanya.
Pastry chef Noa Einat has launched a line of kosher parve triple-layer desserts sold in cans, in styles including cheesecake, Lotus, Oreo, chocolate and pistachio. The chocolate version includes crumble, cream, a chocolate cake layer, Nutella cream, salted toffee sauce and Ferrero Rocher. A single dessert costs 45 shekels and a double costs 55 shekels, with pickup from Givatayim or Hadera and Friday availability at Bustan Shel Saba Yossi.
The View in Netanya is opening summer events called “Between Sea and Fire” on June 21 and 22 at 19:00, with chef Raphael Matok hosting chefs Asaf Stern and Elad Danon. The menu includes Spanish-style fish bresaola, fish martini, lamb terrine and beef tongue on burnt challah. In Tel Aviv’s Florentin, Coco Neko has launched a summer menu with cold ramen, mazesoba, crispy edamame salad, mango brulee pancake and chilled sato daiginjo sake.
Other new launches include a collaborative cookie from Night Cookie and Pranoy, Pizza Hut’s new cream-cheese stuffed crust pizza for 84.90 shekels, and Yuval Ben Neriah’s summer kickoff evenings at Yama in Big Fashion Glilot on June 23 and 30, with four cocktails paired with dishes priced at 75 to 115 shekels. Bo’u, the restaurant by Tomer Tal, Steven Luble and Yair Bakier, is offering a Monday-to-Thursday aperitivo from 18:00 to 19:00 with three dishes and one cocktail for 180 shekels, while Cafe Gan Sipur has refreshed its breakfast and dinner menus. Buenos Aires steakhouse Butchery de Bariloche has also opened an intimate in-house cocktail bar and is offering 25% off its bar menu through the end of June.
