Israel’s Food Calendar Is Packed With New Openings, Festivals, and Limited Menus
A new slate of food events and menu launches is rolling out across Israel in mid-June, led by a special fish-focused menu from Toto, the acclaimed seafood restaurant, and a wave of festivals in Tel Aviv, Ashdod, the Galilee, and other locations. The roundup was published on June 11 and updated on June 12.
Toto will serve a June-only coastal menu inspired by Japan and Southeast Asia at its two branches, in Rehovot and Gadera. Available on Mondays from 19:00, it includes sashimi on a bone, tuna tartare tortilla with soft egg, lettuce leaves with fried sea bass and unripe mango salad, whole sea bass in banana leaves, and new cocktails. The branches are at 4 Eli Horovitz Street, Rehovot, and 1 Avraham Doron Street, Gadera, and the menu is kosher.
In northern Israel, the 13th Galilee Wine Festival will take place on June 18 in Rosh Pina from 18:00 to 24:00, with more than 30 boutique wineries, distilleries, chefs, and producers. Tickets cost 150 shekels and include a wine glass and free tastings, plus live music, art, and workshops, with an emphasis on supporting local businesses during a difficult period for the region. In Ashdod, the Meridiano festival runs June 14 to 18, 18:00 to 23:00, with free admission, dozens of food stalls, international art, and dishes from Moshik Roth, Israel Aharoni, Avi Biton, and Yechi Zino.
Tel Aviv will host several headline events, including Port Chef 2026 at the Port of Tel Aviv from June 15 to 19, with collaborative dishes, music, wine tastings, and street-food areas; prices will range from 25 to 45 shekels. On June 15 and 16, chef Gabriel Israel of Los Angeles will join Moshiko Avraham at NOEMA for two special dinners featuring dishes such as scallop, langoustine samsa, foie gras kreplach, and tongue doner. Also in Tel Aviv, the restaurant Tzeresar is launching an omakase tasting menu called “Leave It to Me” through July 15, serving only 16 diners a night at 222 shekels per person.
Among the other launches: Domino’s Pizza is introducing “Domino’s Double Dip,” with new dipping snacks including garlic-herb breadsticks, jalapeno Gouda bites, and hot rolls; Shake Shack Israel has a limited Pride Month mango shake, with 10% of proceeds going to Otot LGBTQ; and Tamarlin in Kibbutz Nahalal will hold a summer event on June 18, 18:00 to 23:00, with special dishes and a DJ.
