Senior Police Officer Injured After Accidental Gun Discharge
A senior police officer serving as a department head in Lahav 433, Israel's national fraud investigation unit, accidentally discharged his personal firearm and sustained a minor injury to his hand. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. when a gunshot was heard from one of the offices. Investigations revealed that the officer, holding the rank of deputy superintendent, had fired his weapon unintentionally.
He was evacuated to Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the accidental discharge are currently under investigation by the police.
