Minor Injuries Reported in Haifa Apartment Building Fire
A fire broke out Monday morning in a residential building on HaNarkissim Street in Tirat Carmel, near Haifa, resulting in two people sustaining minor injuries. Firefighters from the Haifa station quickly contained the blaze, which originated in electrical cabinets on the third and fourth floors of the stairwell. Upon the arrival of the first fire crew, most residents had already evacuated the building. Firefighters used specialized extinguishers to combat the flames, as the electrical cabinets remained live. After gaining control of the fire, they worked to ventilate the smoke that had accumulated in the structure. The incident commander, Chief Reshef Shai Ben Simon, reported that one man was injured before the fire crews arrived. A woman who had sheltered in her apartment due to the smoke was assisted out by firefighters. Both injured individuals were transported for medical treatment and are in light condition.
