Tens of Thousands Flock to Uman for Rosh Hashanah Amidst War
Over 65,000 people from around the world traveled to Uman, Ukraine, to observe Rosh Hashanah this year, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine and arduous travel conditions. Pilgrims gathered to spend the High Holy Days near the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. These individuals endured difficult journeys, foregoing comfort and staying in tents and caravans out of devotion and a yearning for holiness.
