Israel Vows Control Over Ali Taher Ridge, Threatens Destruction
Following the elimination of Hezbollah terrorists and the destruction of their terror tunnels on the Ali Taher ridge, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are preparing operationally to take control of the area. Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the military aims to prevent any attempt by Hezbollah or other entities to re-establish a presence there. "Anyone who approaches the Ali Taher ridge will be destroyed," Katz stated.
The Ali Taher ridge is part of Israel's security zone in Lebanon, a 700-square-kilometer area extending from the coast to the Beaufort Castle and the Mount Hermon region. Katz reiterated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's stance, emphasizing that Israel will not withdraw from the security zone until Hezbollah is disarmed throughout Lebanon.
Katz concluded by affirming the IDF's continued robust operations in the security zone, targeting terrorists and infrastructure both above and below ground to neutralize threats to Israeli forces.
