Gaza Envelope Children Return Home Three Years After Displacement
Four children from the Gaza Envelope communities, Yahav, Raz, Erez, and Oren, have returned to their homes three years after being displaced on October 7th. Their childhood in the Gaza Envelope was shattered on that "terrible Saturday morning" at 6:29 AM, forcing them to evacuate their homes and mature rapidly.
Over the past year, the children shared their lingering memories and fears with Channel 13 cameras as they revisited their homes. They spoke of their longing for their former lives and expressed great joy as Yahav began the school year, leaving his home in Nirim. Raz also finally returned home to Holit.
Raz described the feeling of disconnection during their displacement, stating, "When we weren't here, we felt like we weren't in the world." The report highlights the emotional journey of these children as they reclaim their lives and homes in the communities bordering Gaza.
