MUNA Band Member Criticizes Gal Gadot Appearance, Calls for "Free Palestine"

Israeli actress Gal Gadot made a viral appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, where she discussed Rosh Hashanah traditions and blew a shofar. However, the successful segment sparked controversy due to Gadot's Israeli heritage.

Following the show, MUNA band member Naomi McPherson posted an Instagram story stating the band was unaware of other guests and used the opportunity to declare "free palestine." She implied that had they known Gadot would be present, they would have declined the invitation. This incident follows a pattern of backlash against Gadot, a prominent Israeli figure in entertainment, since the start of the recent conflict.

Gadot has faced ongoing calls for boycotts and online attacks. Previously, when fashion brand Ralph Lauren posted a photo of her, their official page was flooded with hateful comments and boycott demands, including "No Zionism" and "Bye for ever Ralph Lauren."

Last year, the Disney film "Snow White," starring Gadot as the Evil Queen, was a box office failure and faced harsh criticism, with many attributing the negative reception to political rather than artistic reasons.

Despite these boycotting attempts, Gadot's recent film "The Runner" topped Amazon Prime Video's global viewership chart. Gadot expressed her excitement, thanking fans for making the film number one worldwide. She also recently hosted a Shabbat dinner in Hollywood with guests including Mila Kunis and Noa Tishby, showcasing Israeli traditions abroad.
