Three Burned Bodies Found in Car Near Jatt; New Crime Theory Emerges

Three unidentified individuals were discovered deceased inside the rear seat of a car in the Jatt Triangle area, located between Jatt and Baqa al-Gharbiyya, with Route 6 separating the two towns. Journalist Hassan Shaalan reported on Radio Al-Shams that emergency services arrived to find the victims in the back of the vehicle, with no one in the front seats. The bodies were so badly burned that identification was impossible, and no medical assistance could be rendered. Shaalan suggested the car might have been stolen and that the victims could have been murdered elsewhere before being transported to the site and the car set ablaze. This theory, however, remains unconfirmed by police.

The identities of the three victims are currently unknown, and no family members have come forward. Police are attempting to identify the deceased by contacting families of missing persons. Witnesses who arrived early at the scene could not see the bodies due to the fire, which was extinguished before police discovered them. Shaalan speculated, based on preliminary information, that the victims might be from outside the Jatt and Baqa al-Gharbiyya area, though this is not officially confirmed. He also dismissed any immediate connection to a separate shooting incident in Umm al-Fahm, stating that the unknown identities and motives prevent linking the two events. Police have secured the crime scene and are collecting evidence. Autopsies and identification procedures will be conducted later at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute.
