Man Killed in Car Explosion in Jaffa as Police Investigate

A man in his 40s died Sunday morning following a car explosion on Saharon Street in Jaffa. Emergency teams arrived shortly after 7:00 a.m. to find the man unconscious beside the smoking, burning vehicle with multiple severe injuries. Despite resuscitation attempts by paramedics, his death was confirmed at the scene. Another injured individual managed to reach Wolfson Medical Center independently.

Large police forces responded to the incident, conducting initial investigations and ongoing searches for suspects within Israel. The explosion site was closed to traffic as authorities worked to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the blast. Magen David Adom paramedics Yaarit Oren, Anwar Sharkawi, and Shimon Dahan described the scene as severe, with debris scattered around the burning car.

Police confirmed receiving the explosion report minutes before arriving and emphasized their active efforts to locate those responsible. The investigation remains in its early stages, with no suspects publicly identified yet.
