Three Men Found Dead in Burned Car in Northern Israel

Police discovered the bodies of three men inside a car that had been set ablaze in an open area between the towns of Baqa al-Gharbiyye and Jat in the Sharon region. The discovery was made overnight between Saturday and Sunday. Authorities have not yet identified the victims, who were found in the rear of the burnt vehicle. Police are treating the incident as likely criminal and have deployed significant forces, including a police helicopter, to the scene to investigate. No arrests have been made.

Emergency medical services reported receiving the call to their hotline shortly after the fire began. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, paramedics confirmed the deaths of the three men. An MDA paramedic described finding the men unconscious, without pulse or respiration, after the flames were put out.

Eyewitnesses who arrived at the scene before the fire was fully extinguished reported seeing a burning car but initially did not notice any bodies, believing the vehicle to be empty. They expressed surprise upon learning of the fatalities.

This incident occurs amidst a wave of violence in Israel's Arab community. Earlier the same night, an 18-year-old woman was shot and critically injured in the Negev. The previous day, a 40-year-old man was seriously wounded and another man, 30, lightly injured in a shooting in Umm al-Fahm. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured by gunfire in Kafr Kanna, and a 16-year-old was seriously wounded in a shooting in Jaljulia just days prior. So far this year, 173 people have been murdered within the Arab community in Israel.
