Two Men Fatally Shot in Separate Early Morning Attacks in Northern Israel's Arab Sector
In a violent early morning in northern Israel, two separate shooting incidents resulted in the deaths of two men and left a third seriously injured. The first shooting occurred at 4:25 a.m. in Deir Hanna, where a 50-year-old man was found unconscious in his car with severe gunshot wounds. Despite paramedics' efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedic Daniel Salih described the victim as suffering from critical penetrating injuries.
About an hour later, at 5:20 a.m., another shooting took place in Umm al-Fahm. Emergency teams found two men wounded inside a vehicle; one, a 30-year-old, was in critical condition without pulse or breathing and was declared dead at the scene. The second victim, aged 38, was seriously injured but stabilized and taken to Emek Medical Center for treatment.
Police forces from Umm al-Fahm and forensic teams launched a comprehensive investigation. Haifa District Commander Yechiel Bohadana personally visited the scene and held a situation assessment. Authorities reported that the crime scene had been tampered with and evidence was removed before their arrival. The police emphasized that obstructing a crime scene is a serious offense and vowed to use all available means to apprehend those responsible for the murders and anyone who aided them.
These shootings, occurring within an hour of each other, raise concerns about a continuing wave of violence in the Arab sector of northern Israel.
