Two Men Fatally Shot in Northern Israel Amid Ongoing Violence
Two fatal shootings occurred in northern Israel within a short span, raising concerns over ongoing violent conflicts. On the night of May 31, 2026, a man in his 20s was shot in Muqayybila and later died despite emergency medical efforts. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics found him unconscious and without vital signs, providing advanced resuscitation before transporting him to Emek Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Separately, a 57-year-old man from Tira was found shot dead inside his vehicle in Tayibe. MDA teams arrived to find him with fatal gunshot wounds and no signs of life, confirming his death at the scene. Sharon District police from the Tayibe station have begun investigating the shooting, collecting evidence, securing the area, and pursuing suspects. The shooting is believed to be linked to an ongoing blood feud.
