Oscar Gloukh Assists Ajax's Fourth Goal in Dominant Win
Israeli midfielder Oscar Gloukh, who has yet to score in the Dutch league this season and lost his starting position, entered as a substitute on Saturday against Fortuna Sittard and provided an assist for Ajax's fourth goal in their 4-1 victory. Gloukh, who scored four goals in the Conference League qualifiers earlier in the season, was benched alongside captain Davy Klaassen. German defender Thilo Kehrer and Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat made their starting debuts for manager Michel. Kehrer was central to the match, scoring a goal and providing an assist after being involved in conceding the equalizer. The Amsterdam team, looking to recover from a previous 3-1 home loss to champions PSV Eindhoven, faced Fortuna Sittard, a team they had not lost to in 20 meetings since March 2000. Julian Brandt scored in the 35th minute, but Sittard equalized in the 52nd minute through substitute Antony Descot. Kehrer scored his debut goal in the 62nd minute and then set up Klaassen, who came off the bench in the 73rd minute. Gloukh and Kasper Dolberg entered the game a minute later, and Gloukh assisted the Danish forward in the 78th minute with a play that left both players clear on goal.
