Anan Khalaili Scores First Premier League Goal for Crystal Palace
Anan Khalaili, a 22-year-old player from Haifa, scored his first goal in the English Premier League on Saturday for his team, Crystal Palace. He joined the club during the past summer transfer window.
Khalaili's goal came in the match against Ipswich Town, which Crystal Palace ultimately lost 3-2. The goal was scored in the fourth round of the Premier League season 2026-2027. After 14 minutes, Khalaili received a pass from teammate Daichi Kamada and scored from inside the box, beating the goalkeeper to his right.
Crystal Palace scored a second goal in the 75th minute, but it was not enough to secure a win. Ipswich Town scored in the 23rd, 45th, and 90th minutes to clinch the victory.
This loss leaves Crystal Palace with 3 points, having won one match and lost three so far this season. They are currently in 16th place in the league standings.
Khalaili transferred to Crystal Palace in July from Belgian club Union SG. His move to Crystal Palace followed a failed transfer to Italian club Inter Milan, reportedly due to strict medical examination protocols.
