Veteran Center Bryant Dunston, 40, Linked to Panathinaikos Move

Veteran basketball player Bryant Dunston, 40, is reportedly a top candidate to join Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos, according to Greek journalist Sotiris Vettakis. Dunston, who is currently without a team, is being considered by Panathinaikos to bolster their center position, known as number 5, under the basket at OAKA arena.

The team, coached by Zeljko Obradovic, is looking to strengthen its roster, particularly at center, following an injury to player Mustapha Fall. Dunston, who has begun his fifth decade of life, has not yet announced his retirement, leaving the possibility of a return to the EuroLeague open.

If the move materializes, it would mark Dunston's 14th season in the EuroLeague. His extensive career includes two years with Olympiacos, eight seasons with Anadolu Efes where he won the championship twice, and recent stints with Virtus Bologna, Zalgiris Kaunas, and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. Last season with Milan, Dunston averaged 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 17 EuroLeague games.

Dunston previously played for Hapoel Holon in Israel.
