Panathinaikos has signed Mustafa Fall, recently released by archrival Olympiacos, in a move that few expected. The Greek club announced the addition on June 24, 2026, making the French center the first signing of Zeljko Obradovic's renewed tenure.
Fall, 34, agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third season. The 2.18-meter center is expected to add depth behind Mathias Lessort at the five spot.
Fall had played only two games this season for Olympiacos after missing most of the campaign because of injury. He joined EuroLeague action with Villeurbanne in the 2020/21 season, then spent five straight seasons with Olympiacos.
Across 181 EuroLeague appearances, Fall averaged 7.3 points on 72.8 percent shooting, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He now moves to Panathinaikos, where he will try to rebound from a difficult year by playing for Olympiacos' biggest domestic and European rival.
