Panathinaikos announced the signing of Moussa Fall, a move that comes after the center was recently released by archrival Olympiacos because of the team’s crowded frontcourt. The 34-year-old Frenchman agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third season, becoming the first addition of Zeljko Obradovic’s renewed tenure.
Fall, who stands 2.18 meters tall, is expected to add depth at center alongside Mathias Lessort. He played only two games this season after missing most of the campaign because of injury.
His EuroLeague career began with Villeurbanne in the 2020/2021 season, followed by five straight seasons with Olympiacos. Across 181 EuroLeague games, he averaged 7.3 points on 72.8% shooting, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
Fall now joins Panathinaikos, where he will try to rebound from a difficult season with Olympiacos despite the bitter rivalry between the Athens clubs.
