Four Babies Born Within Hour at Rambam Medical Center on New Year
Four babies were born at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa within less than an hour as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, began on Friday evening, ushering in the year 5787. The first birth occurred at 8:21 PM, followed by a second birth approximately 20 minutes later. Two more babies were born within the subsequent 20 minutes.
Among the new parents celebrating the arrival of their children were Maria Kaczubski and Nimrod Meitav, both 35, from Atlit. Their daughter was born at 9:03 PM, weighing 3.820 kilograms. Kaczubski described the birth as easy and fast, calling the baby "the best gift we could ask for" and wishing the people of Israel peace and tranquility.
This event echoes previous years where births coincided with the start of the Jewish New Year, offering festive moments in hospitals across Israel. For instance, during Rosh Hashanah 5783, a baby girl was born at Poriya Hospital just minutes after 6:00 PM, coinciding with the holiday's start. Her mother, Einav Gafni from Kiryat Tivon, had anticipated the birth during the holiday, even advising her own mother not to invite guests due to the expected delivery.
