After 13 years of anticipation, Rockstar has formally unveiled the cover art for Grand Theft Auto 6 and said preorders will begin next week, on June 25. The game is scheduled to launch in November 2026, ending a long wait that has lasted since 2013 for a new mainline entry in the blockbuster series.
The official trailer for GTA 6 was released in December 2023, but the game has since been delayed twice, frustrating fans who have been waiting for years. In October, Rockstar said the title would arrive on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, though even that date left some players skeptical.
The new release means millions of gamers will soon return to the franchise’s open world. Rockstar’s previous two games were set in fictional versions of New York and Los Angeles, but the next installment will go back to Vice City, Rockstar’s stand-in for Miami, and will also include other areas modeled on Florida.
