Rockstar Games has unveiled the official cover art for Grand Theft Auto 6 and said preorders will open next week, on June 25. The company is still planning to release the game in November 2026, after years of anticipation and multiple delays.
The new GTA installment has been awaited since 2013, when the last major game in the series was released. Rockstar released the first official trailer in December 2023, but the game has since been postponed twice, frustrating fans who had expected to play sooner.
In October, Rockstar said GTA 6 would arrive on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Even that announcement left some players doubtful, but the company is now presenting the release as official. The article says millions of gamers are expected to return to the series' open world later next year.
The game will return to Vice City, Rockstar's fictional version of Miami, after the previous two titles were set in parody versions of New York and Los Angeles. It will also include other locations based on Florida.
