Apple TV+ Sets September 2026 Premiere for 'Slow Horses' Season 6
Apple TV+ has released the first look at the sixth season of "Slow Horses" and confirmed that the new season will premiere on September 16, 2026. The season will run for six episodes, with the first episode arriving that day and one new episode following each week until the finale on October 21.
The series, based on the bestselling books by British author Mick Herron, adapts the sixth and seventh novels in the franchise this time. It continues to follow the agents of Slough House, the MI5 outpost where officers are sent after career-damaging mistakes. The unit is led by Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, a brilliant but difficult commander who steers his team through espionage, manipulation, and secrets.
According to Apple’s official synopsis, the Slough House team is on the run after Diana Taverner pulls them into a dangerous game of retaliation and revenge, where the consequences could be deadly. Returning cast members include Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce, and Hugo Weaving. BAFTA TV winner Lennie Rush is also joining the new season.
The show has become one of Apple TV+’s biggest successes since debuting, with the first five seasons earning widespread critical acclaim. Each season has a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and two seasons reached a perfect 100% critics score. The series is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films, with Gaby Chiappe adapting the sixth season for television and Adam Randall returning to direct. The first five seasons are already streaming on Apple TV+, and the sixth will launch worldwide on September 16.
