Police Stop Driver for Phone Use, Discover Drugs and Cash
Police officers in Holon, Israel, stopped a female driver on Malacha Street in the Ayalon region after observing her using a mobile phone while driving. During a routine check, officers noticed a strong, suspicious odor of drugs emanating from the vehicle, prompting a more thorough search.
Inside the car, officers were surprised to discover over 1 kilogram of marijuana and more than 80 grams of hashish, along with approximately 3,000 Israeli shekels in cash. The driver, identified as a resident of Rishon LeZion, was found to be driving under the influence of dangerous drugs.
She was immediately arrested and taken for questioning at the police station. In addition to the criminal charges, her driver's license was administratively suspended for 30 days, and her vehicle was impounded for the same period.
