Maccabi Haifa Plans for Injured Midfielder Amit Arzi Through January

Maccabi Haifa is preparing for their upcoming match against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona on Monday, aiming to secure their first consecutive wins of the 2026/27 season after defeating Hapoel Petah Tikva. The team will welcome new signing Pedro Brazão, who joined last week, and coach Barak Bakhar will have him available for the game. It remains uncertain if Bakhar will alter the lineup that secured the previous victory.

In other team news, midfielder Guni Naor is reportedly close to a deal with Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he would reunite with former coach Msay Dego. Dego previously coached Naor at Maccabi Haifa and had sought to bring him to Hapoel Tel Aviv during his tenure in the National League.

Young midfielder Amit Arzi is expected to remain with Maccabi Haifa at least until January as he recovers from an injury. Despite the injury, the coaching staff had intended to give the impressive Arzi an opportunity, having seen him in the senior squad and during his loan spell at Hapoel Kfar Saba last season. The 21-year-old Arzi made four appearances for Maccabi Haifa at the end of the 2024/25 season's top playoff and played 30 games for Hapoel Kfar Saba in the National League last year, scoring three goals.
