Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Amit Arzi to Remain with Club Until January

Maccabi Haifa is preparing for their upcoming match against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona on Monday, aiming to secure their first consecutive wins of the 2026/27 season after defeating Hapoel Petah Tikva. The team will welcome new signing Pedro Brazão, who joined last week, though it remains uncertain if coach Barak Bakhar will alter the lineup that secured the previous victory.

Meanwhile, midfielder Guni Naor is reportedly close to finalizing a move to Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he would reunite with former coach Msay Dego. Dego previously coached Naor at Maccabi Haifa and sought to sign him for Hapoel Tel Aviv during his tenure in the National League.

However, young midfielder Amit Arzi is expected to stay with Maccabi Haifa at least until January due to an ongoing recovery from injury. Despite the injury, the coaching staff had intended to give Arzi an opportunity after he impressed during training camp. The 21-year-old has previously worn the senior team's jersey and was on loan to Hapoel Kfar Saba last season. Arzi made four appearances for Maccabi Haifa at the end of the 2024/25 Upper Playoff and played 30 games for Hapoel Kfar Saba in the National League last year, scoring three goals.
