Maccabi Haifa Extends Amit Arzi's Contract Until 2030 Amid Recovery

Maccabi Haifa announced on August 10, 2026, that they have extended the contract of young talent Amit Arzi until 2030. Arzi, a midfielder who joined the club's youth system at age eight, signed a four-year extension despite currently recovering from a quadriceps muscle tear diagnosed about a month ago. Due to a surplus of midfielders in the squad, Arzi is also expected to be loaned out to gain more playing time.

Arzi expressed his excitement about the long-term deal, stating, "Maccabi has been my home since I was a little kid. I am very excited to sign a long-term contract and will do everything to prove myself and help the team achieve its goals." Maccabi Haifa's sporting director, Lior Rafaelov, praised Arzi's development, highlighting his strong performances in the youth teams and during a full season on loan at Hapoel Kfar Saba last year.
