Maccabi Haifa Considers Including Ehud and Arzi in Preseason Training Camp
Maccabi Haifa is preparing to depart for its preseason training camp with several players whose places in the squad for the upcoming season remain uncertain. Among these are Itay Ehud and Amit Arzi, both of whom returned from loan spells at Hapoel Kfar Saba last season. Ehud's position appears more secure, despite interest from Liga Leumit clubs Hapoel Ramat Gan, Hapoel Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin. The club's sporting director Lior Rafaelov and head coach Barak Bachar plan to make a final decision on Ehud after evaluating his performance in training.
Arzi is also likely to join the training camp, although he is attracting attention from Hapoel Kfar Saba, Bnei Reineh, and other second-tier teams. Given the limited activity in the Israeli transfer market, offers from the Premier League are not expected. Maccabi Haifa's midfield is currently crowded with players including Ali Mohamed, Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay, Navot Retner, Cedric Don, and Yair Mordechai. The club aims to add an attacking midfielder, while Dolev Haziza and Peter Agaba, who are under contract for the coming season, are not part of the team's plans.
