Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Itay Ehud Loaned to Hapoel Petah Tikva for Playing Time

Itay Ehud, a young midfielder from Maccabi Haifa, has been loaned to Hapoel Petah Tikva ahead of the upcoming season. Despite interest from Hapoel Ramat Gan and Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Ehud chose Petah Tikva, coached by Omer Peretz, who is known for developing young players. Ehud previously had a breakthrough season with Hapoel Kfar Saba and has recently participated in Toto Cup matches with Maccabi Haifa.

Ehud aims to gain significant playing time at Petah Tikva and hopes to return to Maccabi Haifa's squad next season, following the path of former loanees Mahmoud Jaber, Mohammad Abu Fani, and Yarin Levi. Currently, Maccabi Haifa's midfield includes Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay, Ali Mohamed, and Navot Retner, limiting Ehud's chances for meaningful minutes on the pitch.

Additionally, teammate Amit Arazi is also expected to be loaned out, with Ironi Kiryat Shmona expressing interest. The Israeli Premier League's limited player pool has intensified competition among clubs for promising talents like Ehud.
