Hundreds of Attacks on Palestinian Farmland Reported in West Bank This Year
Palestinian agricultural lands in the West Bank have been subjected to 536 attacks since the beginning of 2026, according to data from the Palestinian Information Center "Ma'ata." These incidents, which include land leveling, crop destruction, tree uprooting, and damage to plantations, were carried out by Israeli forces and settlers.
In August alone, 64 such attacks were recorded, averaging nearly two and a half incidents per day. Over the first eight months of the year, the average number of attacks per month was approximately 67.
The ongoing targeting of land and crops results in direct financial losses for Palestinian farmers, threatening their livelihoods and their ability to cultivate their land. The attacks exacerbate the damage to the Palestinian agricultural sector.
These incidents are part of a broader pattern of settlement expansion and land seizure in the West Bank, which has led to the isolation of Palestinian towns from their agricultural lands.
