Gaza Resident's Suffering 'Doesn't Interest Me,' Says Israeli Woman Who Lost Husband and Son
Sabine Taasa, a resident of Nativ Ha'asara in southern Israel, confronted Gaza journalist Sami Obaid on live television, expressing her deep anger and grief following the October 7th Hamas attacks. Taasa, whose husband and son were murdered in the massacre, stated that the suffering of Gazans "doesn't interest me." She argued that Gazans brought their current situation upon themselves by not supporting Fatah against Hamas's rise to power. "You brought this upon yourselves," Taasa declared, adding, "Now it's easy for you to talk. Of course, you are miserable, you are suffering. It doesn't interest me. My husband was murdered in front of my children's eyes."
When Obaid attempted to discuss Palestinian casualties, Taasa dismissed his concerns, telling him to "go to Hamas and cry to them." When asked about a solution for peace between the two peoples, Taasa responded, "The solution? That we conquer Gaza. There is no trust in you, it's over. The residents of Nativ Ha'asara and the Gaza envelope do not want peace with you."
Taasa concluded her remarks with a harsh statement directed at the residents of Gaza: "You brought this upon yourselves. Rot there with the rats. There are no innocents in Gaza. I wish you all would [die] there. Rot in hell."
