Bereaved Mother Calls for Jewish Settlement in Gaza Following Daughter's Murder

Galya Hoshen, a bereaved mother whose daughter Hadar was killed in the October 7 massacre at the Nova party, spoke out on News 14 demanding a fundamental change in the Gaza Strip. She urged that the area, often called the 'Gaza Strip,' be renamed 'The Strip of Strength' to honor the courage and sacrifice shown there over the years. Hoshen called for the removal of Hamas militants and Jewish resettlement in Gaza, stating, "The minimum is to erase them, expel them, and settle there." She emphasized that the land is soaked with the blood of past conflicts and civilians from Gush Katif, asserting Israel's right to it.

Hoshen condemned the fading memory of the October 7 massacre, describing it as the most horrific day in Israel's history and saying no punishment can match the atrocity committed. She expressed frustration with what she called "absurd attempts" to downplay the tragedy. According to her, the only clear solution is to build life on the blood-soaked land by resettling Jewish communities there. She also rejected terms like "expulsion" and "occupation," insisting that Israel only "liberated" the land and now it is time to "expel them."

Hadar Hoshen was murdered alongside her friend Livnat Levi during the Hamas attack at the Nova party, where they were shot inside a bomb shelter. Hadar's body was identified about ten days later. Her family describes her as a joyful, optimistic young woman with a big heart. They are currently promoting the establishment of a community hall in her memory in the Hadar Ganim neighborhood.

Hoshen's emotional monologue reflects the deep pain and call for action felt by many bereaved families following the recent violence and ongoing conflict in Gaza.
