Police Chief Says Elections Will Be Fair and Lawful

Israel Police Commissioner, Chief Superintendent Danny Levy, said at an event held at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem that this year’s elections will be fair and just. He stressed that the police would do everything in their role as gatekeepers to ensure the vote is conducted properly and legally.

“Do you think we would give that up?” Levy said, adding that in a democratic state elections must be held according to the law and that whoever is elected will be accepted as the result. He said anyone who tries to harm the elections will be met “like a solid wall.”
