Efrat Association Offers Comprehensive Support for Women Facing Unplanned Pregnancies
The Efrat Association provides extensive support to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies, aiming to alleviate the fear and uncertainty that often accompany such situations. The organization emphasizes that no woman should face these challenges alone, offering a multifaceted approach that includes listening, professional guidance, and practical assistance.
Efrat's support begins with a personal volunteer who listens without judgment to understand the woman's fears and concerns. This initial conversation is crucial for identifying the root of her dilemma and exploring potential solutions. When further assistance is needed, Efrat mobilizes its professional team, comprising social workers, nurses, and other specialists, to offer emotional, psychological, marital, and legal counseling, as well as financial aid.
The association's commitment extends beyond the decision to continue the pregnancy. Recognizing the anxieties about the future, Efrat provides essential baby supplies and monthly support for up to two years post-birth, tailored to the family's needs. Furthermore, its "Mothers Growing" program empowers women to achieve financial independence through career counseling, educational guidance, and assistance in re-entering the workforce, with some participants receiving help for childcare to facilitate their return to work. This program has helped nearly 800 women over five years.
In addition to these services, Efrat recently launched the "Roni Center" two months ago, dedicated to supporting women facing mental and emotional difficulties related to pregnancy and childbirth. This center offers professional guidance, psychological therapy, and psychiatric consultation, and is accessible to all women in Israel, regardless of whether they receive other Efrat services.
Since its inception, Efrat has been instrumental in the survival of over 94,000 infants, with 2,606 babies saved in 2025 alone. The organization relies entirely on public donations to continue its work, urging support to help women in crisis and transform the prayer for life into tangible action.
