Maccabi Netanya Releases Sahar Taji Amid Talks With Bnei Sakhnin
Maccabi Netanya announced Thursday the departure of midfielder Sahar Taji, 25, after two years with the club. Taji joined Netanya in the summer of 2024 as part of a trade that sent Ahmed Salman to Bnei Sakhnin. During his tenure with Netanya, Taji made only 12 appearances and scored one goal in the 2024-2025 Premier League season.
Bnei Sakhnin, the club Taji left for Netanya two years ago, is reportedly in negotiations to sign him. Taji previously played for Bnei Sakhnin for two seasons, from 2022 to 2024, recording 50 appearances and scoring 4 goals. The move would see Taji return to his former club in the north of Israel.
