Maccabi Netanya Considers Re-signing Winger Liridon Tavares
Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Netanya is reportedly considering bringing back winger Liridon Tavares, who previously played for the team for two seasons. Tavares was sold last summer to Romanian club Universitatea Craiova but has struggled to integrate professionally and socially. He has reportedly sent positive signals about returning to Netanya, where he was a key player last season with six goals and ten assists.
Netanya is exploring a loan deal with an option to buy. The club is actively seeking reinforcements to achieve its goal of reaching the upper playoff bracket, a target that seems ambitious given the team's current standing and owner Russ Katin's stated aim to "devour the league."
In addition to the potential return of Tavares, Netanya is also awaiting a response from Colombian club Independiente Santa Fe regarding midfielder Johan Torres. The team is also actively searching for an additional winger and a central defender to strengthen the squad.
