Maccabi Netanya began training on Wednesday with two new signings on display, Gregory Morozov and Dor Hugi, who were introduced to their teammates. At the same time, two foreign players, Pedrinho and Junior Diomande, did not show up after being told they are not part of the club’s plans.
Another foreign player, Henry Tavares, reported for training but may also leave. According to the report, he had already told teammates at the end of last season that he was considering an exit. Netanya values him highly, exercised its option on him, and he was one of the team’s standout players this season.
The club hopes Tavares will stay in order to keep contributing to the squad. Midfielder Joad Kaddah has been loaned to Hapoel Ra'anana, and additional players, including Aviv Kanrik, have been told they are free to look for another club.
