Duvdevan Unit Captures Terrorist Planning Immediate Attack

Israeli special forces from the Duvdevan unit, guided by the Shin Bet intelligence agency, apprehended a terrorist identified as Ismail Anqayu and another suspect in a swift operation in the West Bank town of Bitunia on Thursday. The arrest occurred just moments before Anqayu could carry out an imminent shooting attack.

The operation concluded a week-long manhunt for Anqayu, who had been planning an immediate terror attack. Dramatic footage released by the IDF Spokesperson's office shows Duvdevan operatives sprinting through the town's streets, storming a multi-story residential building, and breaching the apartment where the suspects were located.

The video captures the intense moments of the raid, with soldiers rushing up stairs and entering the apartment. Anqayu and the second suspect are seen being led out of the building in handcuffs, under heavy guard. Security officials emphasized that the IDF will continue proactive operations to thwart terrorism and bring to justice anyone seeking to harm Israeli citizens.

This arrest is part of a broader series of counter-terrorism operations conducted by the Duvdevan unit in collaboration with the Shin Bet, aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure and cells planning attacks against Israeli targets.
