Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Coach Darko Lazetic on Brink of Sacking in Saudi Arabia

Darko Lazetic, who was dismissed by Maccabi Tel Aviv less than eight months ago, is reportedly on the verge of being fired from his current coaching position with Al-Taawoun in the Saudi League. Local media reports indicate that the club's management is considering an early change due to the team's poor performance in their last six matches, which have resulted in three losses, three draws, and no wins, accumulating only three points out of a possible eighteen. The team currently sits in 14th place in the league standings.

A source close to the management stated that a special meeting will be held after the upcoming game against Al-Hilal, where Lazetic's fate will be decided. This match is considered a final opportunity for the Serbian coach, as Al-Hilal boasts a squad of stars and has secured 15 points from their last 18 possible.

Lazetic joined Al-Taawoun after reportedly receiving a lucrative offer worth over $2 million. However, his tenure has been marked by disappointing results. Saudi reports suggest that Saad Al-Shehri, a Saudi coach, is a potential candidate to replace Lazetic should he be dismissed.
