A man suspected of committing an indecent act against a 15-year-old girl at a hotel in the Jerusalem area was arrested and charged, police said. The assault took place about three weeks ago, and the suspect fled the scene immediately afterward, prompting a prolonged search.
Investigators from the Harel Station, working with the Judea and Samaria District, conducted intensive operational and investigative efforts to locate him. Police said the suspect is a resident of the West Bank, which made finding and bringing him to trial more difficult and required special coordination between districts.
After roughly three weeks of tracking him, officers located and arrested the suspect during an operational activity while he was traveling in his vehicle. He was taken to Harel Station for questioning, and investigators quickly assembled evidence against him.
The State Prosecutor’s Office then filed an indictment for the acts attributed to him. Police said they would continue working to locate offenders and bring them to justice, including suspects who try to flee and hide.
