Following disappointing results in the PISA tests, Elbit Systems has launched a new technology and science center called "BitMaker" at its Tel Hai campus in northern Israel. The initiative aims to provide advanced STEM education to approximately 450 students from the region each week.

Elbit Systems stated that the center's educational approach fosters skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and public speaking. Mentors from Elbit Systems, including software team leaders, product managers, and innovation experts, will work alongside the center's educational staff to guide elementary and middle school students in developing actual technological products.

President Isaac Herzog visited the "BitMaker" program and met with some of the participating students.
