Danny Achiudea Invites Fan with Disability to Shoot Hoops at NBA Game

Israeli NBA player Danny Achiudea, of the Portland Trail Blazers, has extended a heartwarming invitation to Naor Piron, the son of former Education Minister Shi Piron. Naor, who has lived with a severe physical disability affecting all four limbs since birth, posted a video on Instagram showcasing his ability to shoot a basketball using his feet. He captioned the video, expressing amazement at the platform's reach, stating he could post a video of himself shooting with his feet and receive a response from Achiudea.

Achiudea responded to the video with an invitation to Naor, saying, "Come shoot at halftime in my game." This exchange has the potential to create a memorable moment on the NBA court if the invitation is realized. Achiudea is currently preparing for the upcoming NBA season, which begins next month with a home game against the Phoenix Suns.

Naor Piron is the adopted son of Rabbi Shi Piron, who previously served as a Member of Knesset for the Yesh Atid party and as the Minister of Education in the 33rd Israeli government. The Piron family adopted Naor as an infant. His father has often spoken about the family's journey and Naor's accomplishments, including his participation in acting, training in Jiu-Jitsu, and his insistence on enlisting in the Israel Defense Forces despite receiving an exemption due to his physical condition. He ultimately volunteered for service and is currently serving in the Home Front Command.
