Two Palestinian Prisoners Injured in Israeli Prison Raid; Over 100 Arrested in West Bank

Two Palestinian prisoners were injured on Thursday during a raid by Israeli prison service crackdown units in several sections of "Givon" prison in the Negev desert. The Palestinian Prisoners Club announced that Israeli forces had arrested over 100 Palestinians from the West Bank in the past week.

The Palestinian Detainees Affairs Commission stated that "Metzada" and "Yamam" units stormed sections of the prison, which houses Nafha and Ramon prisons in the southern part of the country. The units used stun grenades and rubber bullets during the crackdown, resulting in the injuries of two prisoners amid ongoing tension within the facility.

Concurrently, the Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that Israeli forces arrested more than 100 Palestinians from various West Bank governorates over the last week. Among those arrested were children, women, released prisoners, and journalists, as part of escalating arrest campaigns and raids. The club detailed that these arrests were accompanied by widespread violations, including alleged "field executions," field interrogations of dozens of Palestinians, and physical abuse. Detainees and their families were also reportedly threatened.

Notable detainees mentioned include released prisoner Ahmed Al-Saifi from Birzeit, who was freed in a recent exchange deal, and journalists Muath Amarneh and Sabri Jibril, along with several other freed prisoners. The Israeli forces reportedly conducted extensive home invasions, searches, and vandalism during these arrest operations, causing damage to property. Some homes were allegedly turned into military outposts, and Palestinians were detained to pressure family members. Mass arrests also occurred during raids on entire neighborhoods and areas.

The club also noted that settler attacks against Palestinians and their property, including assaults, road blockades, and vehicle targeting, occurred concurrently with the arrests, allegedly with the protection and support of Israeli forces. Field interrogations have become a prominent tool during raids, with dozens of Palestinians subjected to harsh conditions before being released or detained further.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club affirmed that daily arrest campaigns continue across the West Bank. Since the start of the "Israeli genocidal war," over 25,000 Palestinians have been arrested from the West Bank, in addition to thousands from Gaza.
