Geriatric Hospital Director Investigated After Patient Abuse Complaint

The director of a geriatric hospital in central Israel is being investigated under caution on suspicion of abusing a vulnerable person, after the Health Ministry filed a complaint with police, ynet reported.

According to the suspicion, the incident was captured on the facility's security cameras, and the footage allegedly shows the suspect pushing a female patient. However, people familiar with the investigation said the circumstances are still being examined and the full picture has not yet been clarified.

After being questioned, the suspect was released under restrictive conditions and barred from returning to the institution.
