Eyal Shoshan Wins MasterChef Israel's Dream Team Season
Eyal Shoshan has been crowned the winner of "MasterChef: Dream Team," the Israeli culinary competition. Shoshan, who was a consistent frontrunner throughout the season, showcased exceptional creativity, talent, and technique, ultimately securing the grand prize.
In the finale, Shoshan faced off against Haim Cohen, who placed second, and Gal Kaspers, who came in third. Shoshan's winning dishes were inspired by childhood memories and featured smoked artichoke hearts with yellow tomato gazpacho and blood oranges with white skhug, followed by a sea bass cooked in a zucchini flower with bouillabaisse sauce. The judges, including Eyal Shani, Michal Ansky, Avi Biton, and Yuval Ben Neria, praised his innovative flavor combinations and execution.
For the dessert round, which determined the ultimate winner, Shoshan prepared a ma'amoul tart, earning a perfect score. Judge Yuval Ben Neria described it as "brilliant" and one of the best desserts he had ever tasted.
Gal Kaspers, eliminated after the main course, expressed gratitude for the experience, stating it opened new possibilities and helped her discover more about herself. She concluded her participation with a smile, accepting her third-place finish while regretting that the judges wouldn't taste her tiramisu.
This victory marks a significant achievement for Shoshan, who previously competed 15 years ago, returning this season to claim the title he had previously vied for.
