Eyal Shoshan Wins MasterChef Israel After 15-Year Return

Eyal Shoshan has been crowned the winner of "MasterChef: Dream Team," the Israeli culinary competition. Shoshan, who had previously competed 15 years ago, emerged victorious in the grand finale on Wednesday night, securing the coveted trophy. Throughout the season, he was recognized for his creativity, exceptional technique, and ability to craft innovative dishes.

In the finale, Shoshan competed against Haim Cohen, who placed second, and Gal Kaspers, who finished third. Shoshan aimed to take the judges on a culinary journey inspired by his childhood memories. His first course featured smoked artichoke hearts with yellow tomato gazpacho and blood oranges with white almond schug, earning praise from judges like Eyal Shani and Michal Ansky for its unique flavor combinations and experiential quality.

For his main course, Shoshan prepared sea bass wrapped in a zucchini flower with a bouillabaisse sauce, which Chef Avi Biton described as "impossible to stop eating." Eyal Shani suggested Shoshan's return to the show was necessary for him to fully realize his potential.

Shoshan and Cohen advanced to the dessert round, where Shoshan presented a "Ma'amoul" tart. This dish received a perfect score, with Chef Yuval Ben Neria calling it "brilliant" and one of the best desserts he had ever tasted. Gal Kaspers, eliminated after the main course, expressed satisfaction with her third-place finish, viewing the experience as personally transformative.

Shoshan's victory marks a significant achievement, overcoming strong competition and demonstrating a remarkable evolution in his culinary skills since his initial appearance on the show.
