MasterChef Israel Finalists Revealed After Emotional Elimination
The top three contestants for the "MasterChef: Dream Team" competition have been determined after a challenging episode that saw one hopeful eliminated just before the finale. The season featured contestants who had previously competed and were given a second chance to win.
Following a previous episode where Haim Cohen secured his spot, the latest installment focused on determining the remaining two finalists. Contestants Manal, Gal, and Eliyahu were tasked with creating a winning dish incorporating mushrooms, a key ingredient chosen by the judges. After this round, the second finalist was decided.
In a head-to-head cook-off between the final two, Eliyahu Sasson earned a spot in the finale with his mushroom soup featuring egg yolk pearls and pasta. Judges praised his dish as a "journey on a plate" and one of the most delicious they had tasted. The second spot was secured by Gal Caspers, who prepared a mushroom and chestnut anelotti in a creamy mushroom sauce, a dish inspired by her childhood memories and described as elegant.
Manal Ismail was eliminated from the competition, finishing in fourth place. She expressed her disappointment and tears, but received heartfelt praise from the judges for her cooking, her contribution to Arab cuisine, and the soul she infused into her dishes. Ismail vowed to continue her culinary career, open more restaurants, and become a competitor to the judges themselves.
The finale will feature Haim Cohen, Eliyahu Sasson, and Gal Caspers competing for the title of MasterChef.
