False Alarm Triggers Northern Israel Air Raid Sirens
Air raid sirens sounded across northern Israel overnight Wednesday into Thursday due to a suspected enemy aircraft infiltration. The alerts were heard in numerous communities along the confrontation line, including Beit Hillel, HaGoshrim, Kfar Yuval, and Rajar.
Approximately ten minutes after the initial alarms, the Home Front Command announced the end of the alert, advising residents to leave protected areas. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) subsequently clarified that the incident was a false alarm, which had triggered the warning system in the region.
This marks the second false alarm of its kind in the northern confrontation line this month. Earlier in September, similar alerts were activated, accompanied by warnings of rocket and missile fire due to interception attempts. Following that earlier event, the IDF stated that several interceptors were likely launched toward a false target.
